Will a new Graphics card fit on a 4 year old Motherboard?
I am wanting to update my 128MB Graphics card to a Gigabyte 8600GT 512MB Graphics card. The Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8PE800 Pro (Some of the Specs listed on the box are: Intel 845PE/ICH4, P4 Socket 478 / ATX, 6-Channel Audio / Intel LAN, USB2.0 / DUAL BIOS, ATA100 / IEEE1394). Some other info that came with my Motherboard that may help answering the question are as follows: Important: recommended to use power supply compatible with ATX 12V standard. This motherboard supports Agp (1.5v) graphics card only. (Ex. Does not support graphics card with following chip, Nvida Vanta LT, 3Dfx Voodoo 3, Banshee, SiS 6326, Matrox MG400...) Will I be able to install this card?
