Can i go to vacation overseas taking a break for 2-3 months while working in army reserves ?

Ok ! i was thinking to join Army reserves. Which i think wld b a better option for me compared to active duty since i want to pursue my education further. Only thing which bothers me is tht since there is requirement to go for drill twice a month, which is not tht much, BUT, if I want to go to vacation for say 3 months then can i do those drills when i come back from vacation? I mean do the commanders allow people to go to vacation for 2-3 months and let them finish their drills when the soilder comes back? Anyone with experience working in reserve if can answer this ques wld be great. Thanks
