Girlfriend dumped me?

ok so basically ive had alot of girlfriends, all of them seemed like it would last at least a little while and with some i even thought they were "the one". well it always ends badly for me, and finally i get the girl ive been chasing for nearly a whole year, and before i couldnt have her because she was dating a guy. well this guy broke her heart and said theyd never get back together and me being the way i am held out a hand to help her, she is also a dear friend of mine. about after a month of conforting her i finally get the news that she really digs me and she starts wanting to do everything together. and after going on a few dates i finally ask her out at the skiing place and she says yes. now this past month felt like the best month of my life with her and i was certain that we'd go somewhere with this relationship and that all my chasing paid off. now i find out yesturday that shes in a bad mood and i ask her wahts the matter and she said she doesnt have the same "feeling" that her old boyfriend gave her, and i was just like WTF because she seemed like she still REALLY liked me in the past month, so this is a big shock when i hear this. and then she tells me that she might still even LOVE her old boyfriend, who is very happy with his girlfriend at the moment and doesnt talk with her much. at this point i am just terribly saddened and what do ya know, she said "lets just be friends" and i said "fine". but then i asked her "could there ever be a chance that if i played my cards right that we might ever be together again?" and she said "i dont know". what do i do now? just two days ago we both seemed to be so good together and now within less than 24 hours we are just FRIENDS?? please help me im still crazy mad about her but she just doesnt feel for me she says, and in my defense i just say "its only been a month!"
