Link between major earthquakes in Central/South America and earthquake swarms in Yellowstone?

I'm curious if anyone knows- Prior to the Chile earthquake, there was a drastic increase in seismic activity in Yellowstone. It was the 2nd largest recorded earthquake swarm in the area. The largest was in the fall of 1985, around the same time as the big Mexico City quake. I know that big earthquakes in California (Landers) and Alaska (Denali, I think) led to changes in Yellowstone AFTER they occurred, but is there any research into these swarms before a major earthquake that show a positive connection? It seems a bit much to be a coincidence (?)
